Pembroke, Massachusetts is located in the northern part of Plymouth County.  Conveniently situated along Boston’s major artery to the South, Route 3. The town of Pembroke lays about halfway between Boston and Cape Cod.  Pembroke is graced with the meandering North River and the herring run. Pembroke, MA.  makes for an especially great location for people who work in the Boston area or have a second home on Cape Cod, or just like to day trip. Commuters who work in Boston can drive 4 miles to the Halifax train station and take the train directly to downtown Boston.

Pembroke has a great Public Library located in the town center and there are two private libraries, the Lydia Drake Library near Brimstone Corner and the Cobb Library in Bryantville which are all open to the public.

The Pembroke Public School System has a total enrolment of about 3000 students and operates three elementary schools, Bryantville ElementaryHobomock Elementary, and North Pembroke Elementary. Also, Pembroke Community Middle School, and Pembroke High School.

Pembroke MA Recreation Facilities

Pembroke Recreation operates the Pembroke Community Center which includes a gym, a game room, and multi-purpose rooms for meeting and other activities.  The Pembroke Community Center Building may be used by residents and community groups. They also operate several town parks, playgrounds, basketball, and tennis courts. Swimming and fishing at Little Sandy Bottom Pond, Stetson Pond, Oldham Pond (Town Landing) and Furnace Pond.  If you enjoy fishing, try your luck Fly Fishing for the American Shad in the North and Indian Head Rivers. There is also ocean access in neighboring Kingston.
